Boogie Bash 2008

Despite all the rumors that are circulating out there, Boogie Bash 20th Anniversary is proceeding, albeit at a different location.  If you haven't yet seen one of our new posters, we are "going home."  This auspicious event is now being held at Heartland (formerly 8 Mile Ranch) 8 miles south of Kelowna on Hwy. 33.

For those of you who may not be aware of what has happened, the RCMP have forced us out of Rock Creek by refusing to approve any liquor licence for our event.  We appealed the rejection decision of the Midway RCMP to the supervisor next in line in Grand Forks, but without success.  We then appealed the decision to the Regional Commander in Kelowna, but again, without success.

Regardless of the reasons for having to move, perhaps this should be viewed as a positive move.  We are going back to our "old stomping grounds."  Past patrons, including this current Board, were devastated when the ranch property was no longer available to us last year, but our return to the same location gives this year's event a "nostalgic" undertone.

This Board is looking forward to seeing the patrons of the past and welcome all new patrons.  Everything in our power will be done to make this a memorable and nostalgic event you won't want to miss."
